CYBERSHIFT ADDS JOHN BLEND TO BOARD
- New Member Brings Technology, Merger and Acquisition and IPO Experience to the Team -
PARSIPPANY, N.J. - June 29, 2005 - CyberShift, Inc., a leading provider of workforce management software and services, today announced the appointment of John W. Blend III to the company's Board of Directors. A 35 year veteran of the information technology and software industry, Blend brings to his advisory position vast experience leading both public and private companies, with a strong history of taking companies through an Initial Public Offering (IPO). He is well versed in merger and acquisition activity in support of an organization's corporate growth and product strategy, directing transactions valued at more than $1 billion over the course of his career.
Blend is the current president and CEO of CES International, a telecommunications
equipment provider. Prior to this position, he was vice president of sales
for Atlanta-based HBO & Company (HBOC) where Blend spearheaded record
company growth and was part of the executive team that led HBOC's highly successful
IPO, resulting in an enterprise valuation of more than $500 million. Following
HBOC, Blend founded The System Works (TSW), a start-up engineering and maintenance
management software firm. During his tenure, he grew the company from $3 million
to $100 million before its successful sale. He began his career at IBM where
he held a variety of sales and management positions.
