CyberShift Survey Finds Primary Drivers for Workforce Management Include Cost Reduction and Improved Employee Productivity

PARSIPPANY, N.J., September 13, 2005 – According to a recent survey conducted by CyberShift, Inc., a leading provider of workforce management software and services, approximately 80 percent of companies surveyed are looking to workforce management solutions to either reduce costs, improve employee productivity or a combination of both. These survey results, researched with attendees of the Society of Human Resource Management Annual Conference & Exposition, June 19-22, 2005, and the American Payroll Association Leadership Forum, Aug. 9-12, 2005, come from human resources, payroll and operations professionals who experience the most challenges with optimizing workforce schedules and matching the right person with the right skills to the right job.

While time and attendance continues to be a focus, with 37 percent identifying it as a top priority, scheduling is also viewed as extremely important; 20 percent view labor scheduling as a logical extension to a time and attendance solution. Furthermore, the CyberShift survey revealed that manual processes, such as time and attendance data entry, and lack of integration with other business critical systems, such as payroll, posed the most significant challenges due to errors and inefficiencies.
